Creation of External Network Opportunities

Enhancement of Skills Through Experiences Outside the Company

We have established an environment for employees to enhance themselves for their own, individual growth, and to develop their own careers not only within Chugai but also through external opportunities.
By encountering environments and cultures outside the company, our employees can acquire practical skills and experiences that are not easily obtained within the company, foster a self-directed mindset, and network with new and diverse people related to their work. The enhancement of specific skills is being achieved through experiences outside the company.
Through such initiatives, we assess each employee’s capabilities and aptitudes, and work to develop talent that possesses high-level expertise and can lead various functions.

Advance open innovation: Encounter and match with different fields
Create shared value with society: Foster patient-first values
Global networks: Foster global perspectives and strengthen global talent
Work with people in different areas: Cultivating broader and higher perspectives by encountering diverse values and cultures within and outside the company

Initiatives

Personnel exchanges with Roche

To cultivate diverse perspectives from an early stage, we are developing human resources who will be able to play active roles globally through the human resources exchange program with Roche.

External practical training (corporate volunteering program and cross-border program)

  • Corporate volunteering program: Employees will join NPOs and social enterprises in emerging economies with the objective of developing global talent who will have a sense of ownership of solving social issues.
  • Cross-border program (digital human resources): As part of the CHUGAI DIGITAL ACADEMY (CDA), this program is positioned as “external practical training and personnel exchange.” Its objective is to obtain practical experience and improve skills through temporary placements at startups. Digital human resources are developed through the CDA.

External training in selective development programs

To develop leaders highly skilled professionals to realize our growth strategy and accelerate the creation of innovation, and to secure leaders who can demonstrate leadership at a global level, we are currently implementing a training plan to foster broad-ranging perspectives and improve various skills.
