Programs aimed at fostering a culture of internal recognition and encouraging employee participation in social contribution activities
Chugai Pharmaceutical Group aims to foster an approval culture in which each and every employee has a sense of ownership and values of mutual recognition in order to create an environment of good interpersonal relationships and high psychological safety. As one such program, we introduced a social recognition program *1 called ChuLiP (tulip =Chugai Like Program) in September 2022.
ChuLiP is a program where employees send each other messages of appreciation and admiration. The message is open to the whole company, and employees who sympathize and agree with it can applaud it, adding their points.
The points accumulated are selected from among multiple organizations that are active in the five priority areas of social contribution activities *2 selected in advance by the Company. Under this system, employees can select organizations based on their values and interests and make donations. The amount of donations is determined according to the points totaled for each organization and the Company makes donations.
In 2023, a total of 7,691,925 yen was donated to 6 organizations through this initiative.
In order to fulfill its Mission of "Dedicate ourselves to adding value by creating and delivering innovative products and services for the medical community and human health around the world" the Chugai Pharmaceutical Group will continue to promote initiatives across the Group in its social contribution activities to support the foundation for sustainable patient-centric healthcare and to expand the health of society.
*1 A social recognition program is a mechanism in which employees mutually recognize each other in an organization.
