Survey Results on the Utilization of Vehicles Donated under the Para-transit Vehicles Donation Program
Since 1985, Chugai Pharmaceutical has supported elderly individuals receiving home care and people with physical disabilities in leading more fulfilling lives through its Para-transit Vehicles Donation Program.
To further enhance the effectiveness of this program, we have been conducting regular surveys of recipient organizations. This report summarizes the survey results from 2020 to 2026. The findings indicate that the donated vehicles are widely utilized both as a means of transportation connecting users’ homes and care facilities and as a valuable support for accessing medical services. The survey results are outlined below.

The initial survey was conducted in 2020, targeting 152 organizations that had received vehicles since 2005. Since 2021, follow-up surveys have been conducted annually, focusing on organizations that received vehicles in the previous year (for example, in 2026, five organizations that received vehicles in 2025 were surveyed). In total, the surveys covered 182 organizations that have received vehicles since 2005.

The survey results confirm that the donated vehicles are utilized in a wide range of situations across many organizations and facilities, helping to secure transportation within communities and supporting access to medical institutions.
As the population continues to age, demand for community-based transportation services is increasing. Through this program, Chugai Pharmaceutical will continue to work with local communities to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
