2024 Contribution of Para-transit Vehicles to Welfare Services

“Specially equipped para-transit vehicles donation program” by Chugai Pharmaceutical started in 1985 as part of the company's 60th anniversary commemorative project and will mark its 40th year in 2024. Including the five cars donated this time, the total number of donated cars will be 283.

In our country, which has entered a super-aging society, the number of elderly people and those with physical disabilities who require care is increasing year by year. To ensure that these individuals can live independently and securely in their familiar communities, various home welfare services, including day services and day care, are currently being provided at different facilities. Specially equipped para-transit vehicles donated by our company is utilized as a means of transportation connecting these facilities and their homes. 

The donation recipients for 2024 are five organizations: Fukagawa City Social Welfare Council (Hokkaido), Oowaku Social Welfare Council(Tochigi Prefecture), Toide Social Welfare Council (Toyama Prefecture), Settsu City Social Welfare Council (Osaka Prefecture), Tottori City Social Welfare Council (Tottori Prefecture). Donation ceremonies were held in each region, and the staff and users of the recipient facilities warmly welcomed us.

This donation project is carried out with the cooperation of the National Council of Social Welfare and the Central Community Chest of Japan, and the donation recipients span all prefectures.
