Social Contribution Healthcare

Chugai Life Science Park Yokohama (Chugai LSP Yokohama), a new research center that began operations in April 2023, has received the “Letter of appreciation by the President of the Japanese Red Cross Society” for its blood donation activities over 40 years since its predecessor, the Kamakura Plant/Kamakura Research Laboratories. Blood donation activities at the research center began in 1972 as part of social contribution activities on the grounds of the Kamakura Plant and Kamakura Research Laboratories at the time. Although there have been temporary interruptions, we have conducted blood donation activities 2 times a year almost every year for more than 40 years since then. We have continued the activities with the hope to help patients suffering from diseases and injuries as much as possible, though we could conduct the activity only once a year during COVID19 pandemic.

We will continue carrying out blood donation activities and advancing social contribution activities. In addition to these blood donation activities, we will also contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by working to solve social issues while building a relationship of trust with all stakeholders.

*Blood donation activities are voluntary by employees.
