Chugai co-sponsors the "Parent-Child Fun Sitski School" for children with disabilities and their families. This year marks the sixth time that Japan ChairSki Association has sponsored this class. This year, the event was held at St. Mary's Ski Resort (Miyagi Prefecture), Maiko Snow Resort (Niigata Prefecture), and Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort (Hokkaido), with a total of 39 families participating. The children's spirit of challenge was tremendous, and we saw them make rapid progress in a short period of time. The time spent with their friends through the sitskiing experience has become a special memory for the children, their families, as well as for the staff on the management side.

Participants and staff members took infection prevention measures against the new coronavirus. Although some children seemed anxious at first, all participants were able to enjoy skiing by working with the ski guides to adjust equipment fittings and learn how to ski in a way that suited them.

Chugai supports this activity of "supporting children's growth through skiing experiences in nature" and will continue to support sports for the physically challenged with the aim of realizing an inclusive society where everyone can play an active role.
