Organizational and Personnel Changes

TOKYO, April 24, 2026 -- Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (TOKYO: 4519) announced the following organizational and personnel changes, effective July 1, 2026.

Reorganization of Discovery Pharmacology 1 and 2 Departments into Specialty and Oncology Discovery Pharmacology Depts.
Discovery Pharmacology 1 Dept. and Discovery Pharmacology 2 Dept. will be reorganized into two new departments, one focused on the Specialty(non-oncology) area and the other on the Oncology area.
These two departments have been strengthening pharmacology capabilities, enhancing organizational effectiveness, and promoting the integration of drug discovery technologies and expertise across therapeutic areas.
This reorganization aims to maintain the foundation build through these efforts while further streamlining the research and development framework. It will also accelerate the pathway from generating scientific outcomes to contributing to clinical proof of concept (PoC) with greater agility and efficiency.

• Discovery Pharmacology 1 Dept. and Discovery Pharmacology 2 Dept. will be reorganized and renamed as Specialty Discovery Pharmacology Dept. and Oncology Discovery Pharmacology Dept.
