Chugai Relocates Head Office

TOKYO, January 29, 2026 -- Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (TOKYO: 4519) announced that it has decided to relocate its head office functions to the Yaesu 2-chome Naka District in spring 2029 (planned).

Chugai is promoting its vision for 2030 to become a “Top Innovator in the Healthcare Industry” under the growth strategy “TOP I 2030,” aiming to double R&D output and become a company capable of launching innovative in-house global products every year. This relocation is positioned as an investment to make “TOP I 2030” a reality and drive further long-term growth beyond that.

The new office will serve as a hub for generating innovation by fostering proactive challenges and growth among diverse employees, enhancing internal communication and collaboration, while strengthening co-creation with external partners. Additionally, the new office will leverage one of the largest floor spaces in Japan to address issues faced by the current head office, such as communication difficulties caused by employee dispersion and workstation shortages.

• Lessor: Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd.
• Features: As the culmination of the “Tokyo Station Area 3-District Redevelopment,” including Tokyo Midtown Yaesu, this is one of the largest mixed-use projects in front of Tokyo Station (comprising offices, commercial facilities, serviced apartments, an international school, a theater, and a bus terminal)
