Roche Announces the Initiation of a Clinical Study of Chugai’s Actemra for the Treatment of COVID-19
TOKYO, March 19, 2020 -- Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (TOKYO: 4519) announced today that Roche issued a press release regarding the initiation of a clinical study of Actemra®/RoActemra®, a humanized anti-human IL-6 receptor monoclonal antibody [generic name: tocilizumab (genetical recombination)] created by Chugai for the treatment of COVID-19.
