TOKYO, April 20, 2016 -- Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (TOKYO: 4519) extends its deepest sympathy to all the people affected by the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake.

Chugai has decided to donate 10 million yen to Japan Platform and Association of Medical Doctors of Asia (AMDA) Group, which are non-profit organizations to rescue the affected people and support the reconstruction of the affected areas.

Furthermore, Chugai will also conduct a matching gift, in which the company will contribute the same amount of donation collected from all its employees.

Chugai sincerely hopes that the affected area would recover and reconstruct as early as possible.
