Charity Sale to Support Earthquake Recovery Held as Part of Head Office Region Event, Children’s Walk

On June 12 and 13, a charity sale was held as part of Chugai’s head office region Children’s Walk 2018 event to support areas affected by Great East Japan and Kumamoto Earthquakes.

Members from the Kesennuma Promotion Association, FUYODO 2100, and the Association for Aid and Relief, Japan (AAR Japan), an NPO, came as sales staff during the event, offering products in support of disaster-affected regions that included marine products and other specialties from Kesennuma, Chugai’s own original design t-shirts produced in Fukushima Prefecture, and food products manufactured at a sheltered workshops in affected areas of Kumamoto Prefecture.
Chugai employees demonstrated their desire at the venue to do whatever they could for the disaster-stricken regions, asking the sales staff about current conditions in those areas and about the products designed by children there.
All of the ¥450,000 in sales raised through this event will go back to the product producers and to AAR Japan.
