Information System Department: Application Manager (IT Planning, Development, Operation)

Background of recruitment:

In the dramatically changing pharamaceutical environment we have been presented with new opportunities to improve our company's performance using emerging IT like AI, IoT and RPA. Enhancing our capabilities in the operation, delivery and roadmap design of this emerging technology has become an urgent issue. Against this backdrop, we need to unify, renew and/or install new systems in order to adapt to new global reguratory compliance and meet our internal and external customer's needs.

Description of work

・As a member of the Information System Department, make an IT Roadmap, create a development team, deliver and operate IT solutions in the above areas in the next 2-3 years.
・Provide leadership on the analysis of complex business problems and manage requirements.
・Proactively identify technology solutions and influence business objectives, taking into account the implications of change in the organization for stakeholders.
・Manage requirements; Gathering, prioritizing and negotiating with business stakeholders in order to ensure the total solution delivered meets or exceeds our customer's expectations.
・Maintain, influence and impact business process design; validate and interpret business needs by conducting feasibility studies and drafting business cases.
・Solve or lead others to resolve complex problems, aiming to influence the business in a positive way.
・Prioritize opportunities to streamline business and/or system processes.
・Manage projects or matrix teams to deliver complex system implementations, within cross-functional projects, guiding the business to reach its strategic objectives in a cost effective way
・Develop data integration solutions between applications both internally and externally to the organization
・Make decisions that impact the work of various organizations within the company and help them achieve their organizational/financial performance objectives.
・Act as subject matter expert and actively share emerging industry standards/trends with customers and peers.
・Understand and influence vendor solutions/roadmaps and industry technology advancements along with evolving regulatory requirements

Required qualifications

Required:

・Passion for growth and innovation, data integration and analytics, UX/UI design.

・3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar job or a job containing a major focus on innovation.

・Ability to write, speak and lead in the both Japanese and English language.

・Excellent oral and written communications skills, business acumen with problem solving and analytical skills.

・Experience with various technologies, including LAMP, Java, .Net, Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, BI Tools, rapid prototyping tools and other software systems.

・Firm understanding of Cloud service technologies, data visualization, digital trends, UX/UI, responsive design, API integrations, Data integration tools.

・A positive attitude and demonstrated ability to build relationships with multiple audiences and a dedication to providing excellent customer service.

・Access to transportation to attend meetings.

・Ability to fly to meetings regionally and globally.

Preferred:

・Knowledge of business processes in pharmaceutical industry within functional area.

・Experience working in Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical industries.

・Knowledge of processes and applications related to Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs and/or Safety.

・Cloud based software applications, packaged application, platform implementations, or custom development experience.

Hours Flextime system (core time: 11:30–13:30)
