Refugee Fund-Raising Campaign and Charity Sale to Support Regions Stricken by the 2018 Japan floods

Event Held to Support Areas Affected by the 2018 Japan floods, and to Aid Refugees

On October 23 and 24, Mitsui Fudosan and Chugai Pharmaceutical co-sponsored an event at the Nihonbashi Mitsui Tower which included a refugee fund-raising campaign and a charity sale to support regions (Soja City in Okayama Prefecture) by the 2018 Japan Floods.

During this event, funds donated to support the refugee relief activity held by Japan for UNHCR totaled an amount equivalent to supplying about 1,100 refugee children with textbooks or providing 18,410 servings of nutritionally enriched food supplements. A large range of items was also available at the charity sale to support Soja City in Okayama Prefecture, one of the areas affected by the heavy rains that struck in July 2018. Visitors to the venue could be seen asking the sales staff about the latest progress with recovery efforts in the stricken region, and it was clear that many of them hoped to offer their support.
