Regarding Today's Media Reporting

Today, there were media reports that a life insurance employee, who had been arrested by Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office on insider trading charges, is also suspected of having committed insider trading with Chugai Pharmaceutical stock, based on information obtained from a Chugai employee.

Chugai is cooperating with the authority regarding the investigation conducted with our employee. The investigation is currently ongoing, and details are not available on this issue.
